A waterfront property lives outside as much as in. The owners wanted the terrace, the pool deck, and the path down to the dock to feel like rooms of the house: music at the right level, light where the feet go, and a phone that still works at the far end of the lawn.

Weatherproof speakers were placed for even coverage rather than volume, so a conversation on the terrace never has to compete with the music. Low-voltage landscape lighting follows the paths and picks out the trees, on a schedule tied to sunset. Outdoor-rated access points on wired backhaul keep cameras and control working to the water’s edge.

One scene, Evening Out, sets the terrace lights, starts the outdoor zones, and dims the interior so the view takes over.
