A lower-level renovation centered on a dedicated home theater, with whole-home audio and display integration across the main floors.

The project

Every system planned as one.

The renovation of the lower level gave the family room for the one thing the house lacked: a proper place to watch films together. The theater was engineered as an acoustic room first, with treatment, seating risers, and lighting designed around the screen.

Upstairs, architectural speakers were added to the principal rooms and displays were mounted flush with the millwork, so the living spaces read as living spaces. All sources live in a single rack in the equipment closet, and one remote runs every room.

The theater’s lighting scenes, screen, and sound are one button on the keypad by the door. Movie night is a press, not a procedure.
