Not one visible wire.

The owners of this colonial loved the house exactly as it was, and wanted it to work like a new one. That ruled out visible keypads on original paneling, surface conduit, and anything that read as technology in the principal rooms.

Lighting was redesigned room by room with fixtures chosen to disappear into the architecture and dimming tuned so low levels stay warm. Motorized shades were fitted inside existing window reveals, with fabrics chosen alongside the interior designer. Keypads were kept to a minimum and engraved to match the hardware.

The result is a house that adjusts itself through the day and still looks, to a guest, entirely untouched.
